Cell phone logos

What are cell phone logos?

Every single cell phone has a display which shows usually the logotype of the network one is connected to. Mostly the name of the network provider is shown, for example: D1, D2, Vodafone, etc. On the most cell phones this logotype can be replaced by graphic. If the mobile phone is equipped with multicolour display wallpaper can be defined. Several cell phone accessories service offer graphics for these purposes. However, the use of these services is chargeable.

Such graphical or textual representations are called cell phone logo. The textual representation contains a certain text, whereas the graphical cell phone logo is wallpaper. Mostly those graphics cover the whole display.

The logos are available mostly in the commonly used formats JPG or GIF. Those can be transferred to the cell by Bluetooth, by data wire or by the use of WAP.

The cell phone technology is used for the distribution of the cell phone logos. The customer orders mostly by SMS the chosen offer and receives short after this a SMS, which contains either already contains the ordered graphic or which contains a link to the download. The latter is normally received by WAP. The download can involve additional fees.
